GOLINA – a village in the Kalisz diocese, located on the river Lubieska, 8 km from Jarocin. Sanctuary of Golińska Mother of Consolation.
The object of worship is the image of the Mother of God with the Child from the 17th century, wooden church of. st. Andrew the Apostle. It was painted in the second half of the 17th century. by an unknown artist on a canvas stuck to a board. Currently, it is covered with a silver dress from the beginning of the 20th century. XIX w. The image was called the Golińska Mother of Consolation. The origins of the cult are unknown. The first mention comes from 1726 and describes the image as "gracious". The existing worship is evidenced by numerous votive offerings and favors documented in the parish book kept from the First World War to the present day. The painting was crowned 23 of August 1970 by Stefan Cardinal. Wyszyński. Most pilgrimages are associated with indulgences: Our Lady of Consolation (first Sunday after St.. Augustyny) and St.. Andrew the Apostle (30 November). Thousands of pilgrims from the surrounding areas gather here.
